Amalfi Coast in Fall

What Would You Love?

October 07, 2026•4 min read

Hello Fall... Wow, October already?! I'm still spinning from September; it is always a full month in our family, and this year was no exception. We celebrated 25 years of marriage, I turned 62, my mom celebrated her 90th birthday, and we honored what would have been my dad’s 92nd birthday—a month filled with milestones, memories, celebration, and a whole lot of love.

But there’s something else about September that has been on my mind. For years, it’s been on my vision board—and in my vision—to spend an anniversary on the Amalfi Coast. At first, I thought it would be our 20th anniversary. But that was 2021, and, well, we weren’t going anywhere. So I decided, okay, we’ll move it out to our 25th. And then as our 25th anniversary neared, I got into my head. Was it really realistic with everything else going on? We had other trips planned. My mom was turning 90. Was it okay for me to be away? Could we afford it? Was this really the right time?

I'd held this vision for years, and yet when the moment came to make it real, all those practical questions got louder than the possibility. So, no Amalfi Coast. Not this year.

My sweet husband Dave and I, at the last minute, made a point to get away. We spent a wonderful extended weekend in Angels Camp, California, in the heart of Gold Rush country. It was a beautiful reminder that life is meant to be lived along the way, not simply checked off a list.

And you know what? I’m okay with that. I’m choosing not to turn a dream that didn’t happen yet into a story that it can’t happen. I’m holding onto the belief that, for whatever reason, I was meant to be exactly where I was this September—celebrating my mom, honoring my dad, celebrating 25 years with my husband, and enjoying a beautiful weekend away together.

If the Amalfi Coast wasn’t now, it’s simply a matter of when. It will be there. And we will go.

I share this because I want you to know that I struggle with this, too. I can teach about vision and choosing what you would love before you have proof that it’s possible, but I’m human. Sometimes the practical voice gets louder than the voice of possibility.

And this is exactly why community and support are so important. Learning isn’t a one-and-done experience. Our subconscious thoughts and beliefs have had years of practice—years of telling us what’s realistic, what’s safe, and what we should or shouldn’t expect. Changing those stories takes time, intention, practice, and often a little help along the way.

We don’t have to do that work perfectly, or alone. Sometimes we simply need someone to remind us of what we said we wanted, help us see a possibility we can’t quite see for ourselves yet, and encourage us to keep going.

And that’s why October feels like such a perfect time to pause and look ahead.

We’re entering the fourth quarter, which means 2027 is right around the corner. Rather than simply allowing the new year to arrive, what if we started imagining what we would love it to look and feel like?

Not just in business, but in life.

What would you love your relationships to feel like? Your health and well-being? Your time and financial freedom? What would you love to accomplish through your work, your purpose, or the ways you contribute to your family, your community, and the world?

And perhaps the most important question:

What would you choose if you didn’t need proof yet that it was possible?

You don’t have to know exactly how it will happen. You don’t need all the answers. You simply have to be willing to name what you would love.

As I step into October, I’m especially looking forward to my upcoming vision workshop and helping my clients lift their eyes beyond where they are today and begin creating a vision for the year ahead.

So as you move through these final months of 2026, I invite you to give yourself permission to dream before you have all the evidence.

Start with what you would love.

The how can come later.

And who knows? Maybe the dream that feels a little too big today is simply waiting for its time.

Thank you,

Jana
